Kevin Kennedy

Kevin Kennedy became an independent advisor after 16 years as a broker with major Wall Street firms because he wanted to provide Alameda area residents with objective advice. He has been in the financial services industry since 1988.

A Certified Financial PlannerTM, he formed Kevin Kennedy LLC in 2004 as a Registered Investment Advisor and established himself as a fee-only wealth manager. The move reflects Kevin’s commitment to provide independent financial advice and wealth management services without the conflicts of interest that accompany commission-based financial services.

Kevin is well known in Alameda because of his high level of community involvement. He was first elected city treasurer in 2000 and is now serving his third term. Kevin also serves on the Board of Bank of Marin. He is an active member of the Alameda Kiwanis Club and the Alameda Elks Lodge #1015.

For many years, Kevin wrote a column on financial matters for the Alameda Journal newspaper and previously hosted a business show on cable television.

He prides himself on knowing the Alameda community well and serving Alameda residents with the personal attention needed to achieve true financial success.
